Blizzard Beach one of Walt Disney World Water Parks opened in 1995 and receives almost 2 million guests a year. Most of the outstanding attractions of the park are located at the top of Mount Gushmore, a false hill with an altitude of 90 feet, passing for the 5th highest peak in Florida. Mount Gushmore is sectioned into 3 different colored inclines to assist guests piloting around the resort. This mountain has a second function to conceal the water pipes. The water is heated more or less to 80 degrees.
This spectacular Disney World Water Park encompasses approximately 66 acres. You can take a chairlift to the top and have your choice of slides down. The most breathtaking slide is Summit Plummet where you will undergo a 55 mph direct down dunk.
