Disney World Water Parks Blizzard Beach Purple Slope
These are the attractions of the Purple Slope at Blizzard Beach in Walt Disney World Water Parks. Once inside the park you get there from a footpath alongside the bottom pool of Downhill Double Dipper. All slides are configured for racing with 2 or more tracks adjacent to one another.
One of the world's few side-by-side racing tracks is what makes Double Dipper unique. The slides are 50 feet high and 230 feet long. Guests rush down with speeds of up to 25 mph as they pass ski racing pictures and racing flags. They have a countdown clock for the start and it is equipped with automated audio gear that sounds the beginning of each race. There are also gates to contain riders till the race begins.
The mat slide Snow Stormers consists of three flumes that are 350 feet feet long. You descend from the upper part of the mountain and pursue a criss cross path through slalom gates. Visitors get on their stomachs as they float down the flumes.
Toboggan Racers water slide has 8 lanes and is 250 feet long. Here you race across thrilling dips as you come down the incline along the face of Mount Gushmore.

Lets talk about the Green Slope at Blizzard Beach in Walt Disney World Water Parks. These attractions are all single track water slides so no racing allowed. Found at the topmost peak of Mount Gushmore you get there by either foot or chairlift.
The must do attraction for thrill seekers is Summit Plummet. Being 120 feet high you will achieve speeds of up to 60 mph as you descend. This is the 2nd highest and quickest free fall chute in the world. Ladies make sure you are wearing a 1 piece bathing suit or you may end up at the bottom before your top does.
Next there is Teamboat Springs a super long family white-water raft adventure. The attraction sends you down a convoluting series of waterfalls. As guests you sit in a big rubber raft, that holds between 4 and 6 people.

Disney World Water Parks Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach one of Walt Disney World Water Parks opened in 1995 and receives almost 2 million guests a year.
