There are 2 Disney World Water Parks in Orlando located at the Walt Disney's World Resort. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach both with their own extremely imaginative themes.
The legend of Blizzard Beach's theme is that there was a freak blizzard in the region, which resulted in the building of Florida's 1st ski resort. Of course, the snow melted fast, resulting in an accumulation of soggy and snow-less ski jumps. The failed ski area was getting ready to shut down permanently when an alligator was noticed sliding down a jump and sloshing into a pond of water, hollering Yahoo. From there foward the ski area lived on as a water park, and the alligator called Ice Gator as it's mascot.
The legend of Typhoon Lagoon is that a typhoon wreaked mayhem upon a once clean tropical paradise. Ships, fishing tackle, and surfboards are scattered around where the violent storm discarded them. The parks hub is Miss Tilly- a shrimp boat staked upon a mountain called Mount Mayday that bursts out a 50-foot stream of water once a half hour, just ahead of the bells sounding of the watch on Miss Tilly. The mascot for this park is called Lagoona Gator.
